I am a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who believes in using technology to improve healthcare. I completed my Internal Medicine Residency at Weiss Memorial Hospital and Clinical Informatics fellowship at UIC. I currently work at Oak Street Health as a Primary Care Physician and physician Informaticist with a mission to rebuilding healthcare as It should be. I also continue to serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UI Health to support implementing the Hospital at-Home program. 

I am also involved in several professional organizations; I am a member of the Governor's Council of the ACP Northern Illinois Chapter, the HIMSS Greater Chicago Chapter, and the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA). He also holds several leadership positions, including Chair of the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Committee in the ACP Northern Illinois Chapter and HIMSS Physicians Committee.

Matt Sakumoto is a virtualist primary care physician in San Francisco. He is also fellowship-trained in clinical informatics at UCSF, with a focus on virtual care and clinician efficiency tools for the EHR. With prior industry experience at multiple telehealth startups and as a clinician-advisor to many early-stage companies, he is passionate about exploring and expanding the digital health landscape.
